Role Overview
Our client is seeking a Fund Operations Associate to support the full post-trade lifecycle of SPVs and private market transactions.
This role sits at the center of back-office operations, covering fund administration, accounting workflows, investor support, and coordination with external partners.
You will manage day-to-day execution while also identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems, and operational efficiency.
This is a highly hands-on, detail-oriented role suited for someone comfortable working across multiple workflows in a fast-paced environment.
What You Will Do
Post-Trade Operations & Fund Accounting
- Manage day-to-day back-office workflows including:
- Cash reconciliation
- Funding requests
- Investor communications
- Capital distributions
- Support trade operations by managing SPVs within internal systems, resolving funding issues, and assisting brokers with post-trade requests
- Maintain accurate tracking of allocations, transactions, and fund-level activity
- Build and maintain reporting workflows using Excel and Google Sheets
Audit & Tax Coordination
- Coordinate preparation and delivery of SPV audits and investor K-1s
- Work directly with external audit and tax firms to ensure accurate and timely reporting
Data & Systems Management
- Maintain a reliable single source of truth across internal systems
- Ensure data integrity across transactions, allocations, and reporting
- Identify and implement improvements to operational workflows
Client Support & Communication
- Serve as a primary point of contact for investor communications
- Support onboarding, funding processes, and post-investment inquiries
- Troubleshoot operational questions and manage requests through internal systems
External Partner Management
- Act as a liaison between the company and banks, audit firms, tax providers, and distribution partners
- Coordinate documentation, reporting, and operational processes across external stakeholders
What Our Client Is Looking For
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple workflows simultaneously without losing detail
- Familiarity with private markets, secondaries, SPVs, fund administration, KYC/AML, broker-dealer operations, or trade execution preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working with internal tools, CRMs, and operational systems
- Strong proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
- Process-oriented mindset with a focus on improving systems and workflows
Nice to Have
- Securities licenses such as Series 99, 7, 63, or 65
- Experience at a broker-dealer, fintech platform, investment platform, or SPV administrator
- Background in fund administration or private market operations
